My work is for sale, display, implicitly copyrighted, and so on and so forth, etc.. So there's that.
My intention is produce work which doesn't require assistants to fabricate. The problem, at this stage of my work, with assistants and fabrication is the cost. My kind of creativity involves continual modifying in the doing.
My work The H2O Challenge, is a good example. It was meant to be a rather simple work in a style influenced by Morandi. But in the actual doing, it became more complicated. Morandi's influence is still there but also Picasso's, Mondrian's and van Gogh's. Which is to say; it is my style. I appropriated images, styles, whatever was needed to make this particular portrait of an idea. I executed my original conception with pen and paper in half an hour; but my final work of The H2O Challenge took me almost a month, and there was much reworking. Right in the middle of this work I totally repainted the background wall.
In Chimera Cyborg Dreams Redacted, I was 99% done, when all of a sudden I realized, I needed to rework and reimagine the whole work. So I did research, painted over, and redid the entire painting. Only a glimpse of what was underneath can be seen.
